Bangalore Royal Challengers skipper Daniel Vettori says IPL is all about momentum – IPL news
After being mauled by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians on Tuesday, the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Daniel Vettori vowed that the team would be eyeing to gain the momentum in their Thursday’s crucial match against Deccan Chargers.
The Kiwis’ left-arm off-spinner, who recently announced his retirement from One Day International cricket, believes that the Indian Premier League is all about picking the momentum and once the team gains the winning momentum in the rapid-running competition,
things will get a lot easier.
“I think this competition is about momentum. In such a short period of time between games, if you can get on that (winning momentum), it`s going to make things a lot easier,” Vettori said.

Realizing the significance of the match against the Deccan-based outfit, the Kiwi left-arm spinner said, “It`s an important game for us. After a good start against Kochi, we lost comprehensively to Mumbai on Tuesday.”
The 2009 champions of the IPL, Deccan Chargers are also desperate to find winning ways after facing two consecutive defeats in the ongoing competition. Vettori said that they would challenge the Kumar Sangakkara-led Deccan Chargers and would not take them
easy.
Responding to the question about the injury of the left-arm paceman Dirk Nannes, the RCB captain commented that the assessment of his injury is going on, and the team is expecting to hear some good news. However, Vettori feared that the Australian pacer
might not be available for the next two games.
Talking about the loss in the previous games, Vettori said that his side could have played better. The skipper further said that Zaheer Khan would make a strong comeback after an ordinary performance in the first two games.
When asked about the Sri Lankan players who are going home by 4 May, 2011 for the preparatory camp ahead of their tour to England, Vettori admitted that it would be hard to get a replacement for the dazzling opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan.
