Bangladesh completed a remarkable 5 run win against England in the 2nd ODI at Bristol. The England team who had been in a scintillating form in recent games was once again haunted by some old habits, and Bangladesh for their part played hard to earn their first win against England.

Batting first Bangladesh had a start stop inning and put up a fighting total of 236 runs, and England after a relatively decent first half of the innings fell away in the end, and a typical collapse resulted in a 5 run defeat.

England won the toss and elected to field first, Bangladesh who prefers to chase more times than not started cautiously, the openers knew that there will be some swing in the air due to the early morning moisture and did not go for the big shots early.

Left hander http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tamim-Iqbal-c2640 was the first man to go, he was caught behind off the bowling of Shahzad, he scored 18 runs from 23 balls with 3 crunching boundaries.

Another left hander Junaid Siddiquie came in to join Imrul Kayes and the pair showed good footwork and used the good bounce in the pitch to their advantage scoring at close to 5 runs per over.

The partnership was broken when Junaid was the 2nd victim of Kieswetter behind stumps off the bowling of Broad; he scored 21 runs from 23 balls with 4 boundaries.

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jahurul-Islam-c1624 was the next man in and put on 77 runs alongside Kayes for the 3rd wicket, that was the best part of the innings for the visitors, and the pair looked assured of themselves at the crease making sure that they have a platform to launch from when it came to the final overs.

The stand was broken when Jahurul was 3rd man to be caught behind off the bowling of Shahzad; he scored 40 runs from 53 balls with one four and a six.
Former captain Shakib Al http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hasan-c61990 could not contribute much and was cleaned up by Collingwood for just 1 run.

There were a number of useful contributions down the order, but as soon as Kayes was dismissed for 76 runs Bangladesh innings lost momentum, but still did manage to score 236 in the allotted 50 overs.

Considering England’s recent form the score did not look much of a challenge, and the start was also quite good for the hosts.

Strauss and Kieswetter put on 49 for the first wicket, and looked very comfortable against the visitor’s attack, Strauss was the first man to go he was caught behind off the bowling of Rubel Strauss scored 33 runs from 36 balls with 4 fours and a six.

His opening partner Kieswetter followed soon after scoring 20 from 17 balls, he was also dismissed in the same manner.

Jonathan Trott was brought in the side after some good performances for England Lions and he walked in at number 3 as Ian Bell was injured during fielding.

Trott showed that he has carried the form from Lions side to the national team, and displayed some excellent strokes, but there was hardly any support from the other end.

Collingwood was LBW by left arm spinner Abdur Razzak and Morgan was also trapped by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Razzaq-c84421 for just 1 runs.

Still England thought there was not much to worry about, but the wickets kept going down Yardy and Wright the last of the recognised batsmen came and left with scores of just 10 and 15 respectively.

While Trott kept fighting at the other end, he got some support from Broad and it looked like England will be able to pull it off, England needed 23 from last 4 overs with one wicket in hand, but Trott was still at the crease.

In the final over with just 6 runs needed Trott edged one to the keeper and Bangladesh pulled off an amazing win, this is the Asian side’s first win against England after beating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 earlier.
