Bandgladesh Cricket Board looking to rope in Sourav Ganguly as batting coach
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is reportedly looking to sign former Indian opener Sourav Ganguly as the batting coach for their national team.
Bangladesh’s week performance in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2011 has forced the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 Cricket Board to appoint a new batting coach to improve the batting performance of the team.
According to media reports, the BCB has finalized their decision to appoint Ganguly for their team. However, a formal request to the former Indian skipper is yet to be made.
The entire board thinks that Ganguly is a batting legend and his vast cricketing knowledge will help the national team in improving.
The BCB had earlier approached Ganguly before Bangladesh toured England, but the board could not rope him in for the series.
While talking to the media, the chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Mohammed Jalal http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yunus-c98347 has said, “We want Sourav's assistance. He is hugely respected here and his skills and tactical nous will greatly help our batsmen.”
In addition to the batting coach, the BCB is also looking to find a replacement for their former national team coach Jamie Siddons.

The Bangladesh cricket team's performance has been below par recently, Australia's tour of Bangladesh earlier this month, highlighted severe performance issues in the side.

He has been one of the finest opening batsmen for the Indian cricket team. In his 311 One Dayers, he has scored 11363 runs at an average of 41.02.
He has scored more than 20 hundreds and 72 fifties and has struck 1122 fours and 190 sixes.
He has been an exceptional captain for his national side, he helped build the current Indian side. Whether Ganguly will take up the responsibility of Bangladesh's batting coach remains to be seen.
