Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has formed a three-member commission to examine the state of fixing T20 matches through umpires, as revealed by a sting operation carried out by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alamgir-c42603, Mesbahuddin Serniabat and Mahmood Jamal, the board's chief of anti-corruption and security.
While talking to ESPNcricinfo Bangladesh’s umpire, Nadir Shah, revealed, "BCB have done so much for me so far, so I have to tell them my side of the story. I have some evidence that I will turn in. I will definitely comply with the investigation committee,"
Shah further expressed that he had felt "threatened" by the people he met at a hotel in New http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 earlier this year. "I went there to complete a deal to umpire in the Sri Lanka Premier League. I was taken from the airport to a hotel, where I was introduced to a guy. There were a few others in the room. I felt threatened by what they were saying and as a result I went along with what they were asking me to do."
The umpire insisted that he knew it was wrong and later avoided to continue any communication with the individuals.
The 48-year-old Shah has officiated in 40 One Day Internationals and only three Twenty20 internationals.
Another Bangladeshi umpire, Sharfuddoula Ibne http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-c89347, was also shown to have had a Skype chat with the undercover reporters. Sources said that Sharfuddoula is also going to be questioned. He has reaffirmed his commitment to cooperate with the committee in their investigation.
A total number of six umpires who were exposed in this sting operation, eager to fix matches, are Anees Siddiqui and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nadir-Shah-c78449 have officiated at the international level, whereas the rest of the four were first class umpires.
