Bangladesh Premier League to kick off from Feb 9 – Cricket News Update
After evident success of IPL and Big Bash, the revamped T20 cricket again takes centre stage following the announcement of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 Premier League, which will commence from February 9, next year.
The tournament will consist of six teams, and will take a leaf out from its Indian version by naming an icon player for each outfit comprising of a Bangladeshi national team player.

However, with important International series going on at the time of the BPL, it remains to be seen what impact it has over the recruitment of some explosive power hitters in world cricket.

Lal also commented that the Indian players might opt out of the competition due to their domestic commitments. "India is a problem," Lal said. "In the first six or eight games, they [India players] could play."

Each outfit will be allowed to bid in the range of $2million to $5million and the organizers hope that the winner of the first edition will be granted a place in Champions League T20.
