England, after winning the toss chose to field first in a bid to restrict the hosts on a meagre total in the 50-over game.
Bangladesh openers, Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das gave their side an outstanding opening stand of 50 runs as the batsmen hammered the bowlers right from the word go to put pressure on the fielding side.
Sarkar was the first causality of the day as he lost his wicket after playing a nifty innings of 23 runs.
With 98 runs on the board, the batting side lost their second wicket when Das found his way back to the pavilion after playing a stupendous knock of 53 runs.

Ahmed was the next wicket to fall he was dismissed after playing an innings of 45 runs. After this wicket, Bangladesh suffered a batting collapse as none of the remaining batsmen could play a big innings.
In the end, the home side bolstered a respectable tally of 256 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
From England, spinners Sam Wood and Rammy Singh bagged three wickets each to prevent the batting side from getting carried away.

With 110 runs on the board, the tourists lost their second wicket when number-three batsman Ben Foakes found his way back to the pavilion after scoring 19 runs.
From England, Daniel Bell-Drummond and Sam Kelsall were the highest scorers with 92 and 43 runs. Nonetheless, the side still lost the match as England could muster 237 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
