However, a stress reaction on Shakib’s right tibia was reconfirmed by a second scan in Dhaka and he has been given the next six weeks off to rest.
"Shakib was initially diagnosed with stress reaction on his right tibia, but we needed a second scan just to make sure. It’s been confirmed now," Dr Debashish Chowdhury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chief medical officer, told ESPNcricinfo on Saturday. "He has been advised not to do any running or jumping during the period. Hopefully, he will fully recover after he sees out four to six weeks," he added further.
