Bangladesh selectors have named uncapped duo of Sohag Gazi and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 starting in Mirpur, on Wednesday, November 13, 2012.
Off-spinner Gazi, who was also the part of Bangladesh A team that played against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in January this year, earns the national call-up on the back of an impressive run in the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL), where he is playing
for Barisal Division. The 21-year-old Barisal spinner has picked up 11 wickets in two matches, including a hat-trick, and scored a century as well against Khulna Division. Overall, he has played 18 first-class taking 87 wickets at an impressive average of
24.
Abul http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hasan-c61990 on the other hand has an international experience of four T20 games. He is, however, yet to debut in the ODI and Test format of the game, and this is his maiden Test call-up. The 20-year-old right-arm medium pacer, hailing
from Sylhet has so far played six first-class matches claiming eight wickets at 43.37 apiece. Gazi, 21, has 87 wickets at an average of 24.12 from 18 first-class games for Barisal.
Fast bowler Rubel Hossain, who has not donned Bangladesh colours since December last year, also returns to the national setup after recovering from a shoulder surgery which he underwent in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 earlier this year.
Wicketkeeper batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mahmudullah-c1877 will be his deputy in the series opener against the Windies.
