Bangladeshi opening batsman Mohammad Ashraful has expressed his confidence in the team that has been put together for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Twenty20 2012 (due to commence on September 18 in Sri Lanka this year), claiming that the line-up boasts both experienced
cricketers, and developing players with plenty of potential.
“We have found some ideal cricketers for Twenty20 to compliment the likes of Shakib [Al http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hasan-c61990], Tamim, Mushfiqur Rahim and Abdur Razzak,” Ashraful said. “Ziaur Rahman is a handy batsman to have as he is a natural big hitter. Mahmudullah is becoming a very
useful allrounder in these conditions and Elias Sunny has proved his worth in this version. The return of Mashrafe [Mortaza] is a big plus ... his lower order batting can also change matches.”

of the tournament in the 2012 edition.

The veterans also have back-up in the form of promising players such as Elias Sunny (who has the best bowling figures registered by a Bengali player in the format - 5/13) http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ziaur-Rahman-c98624, and Ashraful himself, who is learning the ropes as an opener
for the team.
“I have made good starts in recent times as an opener. I feel I am hitting the ball well,” he said, adding that he was looking forward to the tournament, having visited Sri Lanka on every tour since his international debut.
