Bangladesh may tour Pakistan in 2012
The president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Mustafa Kamal has stated that the Bangladesh team will not be able to tour Pakistan before 2012. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently refused an offer by the BCB to tour http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 before the start
of the World Cup.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and Bangladesh should definitely play, there is nothing wrong in it. I had a fruitful
meeting with PCB chief http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 in this regard but next year we will only be sending either our Under-19 or Academy team to Pakistan.”
There have been some security concerns due to which the teams worldwide have not visited Pakistan for a series. Pakistan has been arranging their home series on neutral venues after the security issues increased.
Last time any team visited Pakistan was http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 but the Sri Lankan team had to leave Pakistan following the terrorist attacks on the team. Many Sri Lankan players were injured but there were no serious injuries to any of the players.
Kamal ruled out any security concerns and said that the security conditions are fine in Pakistan and there is no issue in sending the team to the country. He said, “Law and order issue is not there at all. If law and order would have been the issue then
how come we would be sending our Under-19 team to Pakistan.”
He said that the only problem was the tight schedule of the senior team. He said that, “Because of our tight schedule and engagements we are not in a position to send our team to Pakistan next year.”
Recently, the Zimbabwe cricket team showed interest in visiting Pakistan. There was a possibility of a tour before the start of the 2011 World Cup but due to the tight schedule of the two teams, the series couldn’t be finalised. However, there is a possibility
of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 touring Pakistan after the World Cup.
It will be a positive news for Pakistan if the teams start visiting the country. All the cricket lovers in Pakistan will look forward to any series conducted on home soil.
