Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selectors, on Monday announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 tours of Ireland and Netherland.
Promising all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shakib-Al-Hasan-c89559, who was rested for last month’s unofficial tri-nation T20 series in Zimbabwe, has been recalled for the upcoming itinerary. The Bengali Tigers failed to make the final in the triangular series
in Zimbabwe, which also featured http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. But Shakib’s return is considered a big boost for his side.
Shakib, the 25-year-old all-rounder from Jessore, was rested for the Zimbabwe tour on his own request, as the left-hander wanted a break after playing for his national side in every single match since 2009.
However, after a break of more than a month, the world’s number one ranked Test and ODI all-rounder is all set to challenge the Irish and Dutch oppositions in Twenty20 matches - which provide Bangladesh their last chance to practice
against an international side ahead of the World T20 Championship in September this year.
Pace bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Akram-Khan-c42577 hoped his return will be a big boost for the Tigers.
"We have always maintained that we are not in favour of major changes in the team," Akram said. "Shafiul is one of our first-choice pace bowlers so his return will be a boost."
The medium pacer missed the Zimbabwe itinerary nursing a shoulder injury he had sustained during the Asia Cup, in March this year.

Explaining Anamul’s snub, the BCB chief selector said that the teenager had been left out to allow him to focus on the upcoming Under-19 Cricket World Cup, to be staged in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 next month.
"He [Anamul Haque] has a lot of time and I think if he plays in the age-level World Cup, it will bring more maturity to his game," Akram added further.
The Ireland-Netherland itinerary gets underway in Belfast on July 18, with the tourists playing three T20 Internationals against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 in the first leg of the tour. The second leg will see Bengali Tigers playing a one-off T20 against
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Netherlands-c753 (July 25) each.
