Bangladesh positive to tour Pakistan- Cricket News Update
The President of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mustafa-Kamal-c78122, has assured his full cooperation to help the Pakistan Cricket Board in restoring International cricket in their country after holding positive talks with Chairman Zaka Ashraf.
Kamal met interior minister Rehman Malik and Zaka http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397 on his trip to Islamabad, where he discussed the security situation in the region. He was also briefed about the safety measures, which will be taken by the Pakistani government for the proposed ODI
tour.
"Now I am here to make a commitment that both Mr. Zaka and I will work together to make things right at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 level," said Kamal.
International Cricket Council was, however, not the part of the meeting between the BCB and the Pakistani officials, and incase the series is confirmed by Bangladesh, an ICC delegation will first clear security issues before giving the series a go ahead.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kamal-c70069 had also been provided complete guarantee regarding the safety arrangements in a briefing by Rehman Malik.
"I have given full assurances regarding security, they will visit two stadiums, let them have a look at all those arrangements which we are proposing. I assured him [Kamal] from my side, on behalf of the government, that we have taken total political ownership
of this match,” said the security minister.
At the moment there are two plans for the tour: one of which includes a three-match ODI series, while the other itinerary involves two ODIs and one T20 international. The tour is scheduled to be completed within a week, where only two venues are expected
to be utilised - National Stadium Karachi and Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Pakistan lost their international cricket status three years ago, after the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked by terrorists. Luckily no major injuries occurred however, the guest team jetted home soon after the unsavoury incident.  Since then no international
team has toured http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Afghanistan-c745.
The incident further deprived Pakistan from co-hosting the 2011 World Cup. For now, the Men in Green play their home matches at neutral venues with UAE being their most preferred destination.
