Bangladesh v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 2011: “Right tempo’ will be key to success, feels Coach Stuart Law – Cricket News Update
Bangladesh cricket coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Stuart-Grant-Law-c91460, has said that his team will have to pick up the ‘right tempo’ in order to be successful in the upcoming tour to Zimbabwe.
Starting from August 4, 2011, Bangladesh’s tour to Zimbabwe includes one Test and five One Day Internationals (ODIs). Law recently joined the Bengali Tigers after leaving his job as coach to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. Law believes that the Bangladesh side has a huge talent
and the Tigers just need to play with a positive frame of mind in order to be consistent at the highest level.
"Once again it's not a skill problem from what I have seen of our boys. It's a mental problem and it has to change to play Test cricket. Find the tempo that suits Test cricket with your batting. You don't have to go four-and-a-half or five-runs an over during
a Test match. If we can find the right tempo I am sure we can post scores on the board,” said Law.
Hosting the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011, the side failed to make an impression in mega event. After a terrible World Cup campaign, the Bangladeshis tasted a bitter 3-0 defeat at the hands of Aussies in the recent ODI series.
Asking the players to rub the sour memories of past out of their minds, the coach urged them to do well and justify their place among the International sides. The only Test against Zimbabwe will be http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747’s first five-day match in more than 14 months.
Law is confident that the players will produce a fine performance in the longer version of the game despite accepting the reality that the Rhodesians are well prepared for the clash after playing with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and South African A sides.
"The boys have played a lot of one-day and Twenty20 cricket. It's not ideal, but on the other hand it should be very exciting getting back into Test arena. Hopefully, the boys will react to it that way and it's a great opportunity as well to take the step
up that ladder," added the former Australian cricketer.
