Bangladesh’s top-players and officials showing reluctance to visit Pakistan – Cricket News Update
Some of the Bangladesh cricket officials and players have shown reluctance to tour Pakistan and chances are high that a weak Bangladeshi team may visit Pakistan for a couple of limited-overs matches scheduled for later this month.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a massive break-through regarding the resumption of international cricket in Pakistan last week when Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that it is ready to send its team to Pakistan for a very short tour.
The two teams will play a One Day International and a T20 international on the 29th and the 30th of April, 2012, at the Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore. If the proposed tour goes ahead as scheduled, international cricket will return to Pakistan
after more than three years.
However, some of the Bangladesh’s leading players have shown no interest in visiting Pakistan and they may pull out of the tour at the very last moment, which means that a weaker Bangladesh team will meet Misbah ul Haq and company.
Bangladesh is considered to be minnows in international cricket and if some of its best players do not visit http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 with the team, the cricket fans in Pakistan will surely lose interest in the series.
A source from PCB has revealed that the Chairman of PCB, Zaka Ashraf has told his Bangladeshi counterpart that Pakistan wants a strong Bangladesh team for the tour.

The source further added that PCB understands that if Bangladesh tours Pakistan without the star-players, the public may not show a lot of appreciation for the series.
He added, "Obviously if the Bangladesh team comes without top players like Shakib-ul-Hasan, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tamim-Iqbal-c2640 and other stars, it would weaken the touring side and reduce the competitive edge of the series."
The Head of BCB Cricket Committee, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Inayat-Hussain-c64309 Siraj has said that the board is in no position to force its players to go to Pakistan, as it boils down to individual choice.
"Whoever wants to go to Pakistan is fine, but we will not force anyone to go on the tour," Siraj expressed.
