Bangladesh’s tour decision will affect relations- Ashraf – Cricket News Update
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Zaka Ashraf has stated that cricketing relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be damaged severely if the latter does not tour Pakistan for the proposed ODI series.
Ashraf, while talking to media, told that the final decision regarding the impending matter will take place, following the scheduled April 14 meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC), held in Dubai.
“The board will review it’s relation with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 is they refuse to tour Pakistan,” said Ashraf.
Earlier, one of the officials from the BCB had remarked via a social website that their team will not be touring Pakistan. However, PCB has yet to receive an official notification in this regard.
The BCB chairman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mustafa-Kamal-c78122, on several occasions has said that they are interested in sending their team to Pakistan but on the same time has demanded that ICC must appoint neutral umpires as opposed to the local officials.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625, however, has yet to respond but is expected to make an announcement regarding the fate of the tour in their upcoming meeting.
Despite their satisfactory visit to Pakistan, where the BCB officials were briefed regarding the security arrangements, they have shown reluctance in making a final decision – instead claiming that the matter is under consideration, with the final call resting
with their Prime Minister, Hasina Wajed.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397 was asked about the other contingency plans, but refused to disclose any information, claiming that some people simply do not want Pakistan to resume International cricket in their home country.
Apart from inviting their close neighbours, the board is working hard in bringing a World XI to Pakistan, with the final outcome expected to be made public at the end of April.
With the Indian Board also showing interest in holding a bilateral series, the chairman is hoping that they make  proper communication in this regard, which will help both nations to end their cricketing drought.
Recently, British universities students came to play two 50-over matches against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 U-19 XI in Lahore. The tour ended on an encouraging note, offering hope for the PCB in their quest to resume international cricket.
