Question:

Bank account number and sort code?

I have signed up with fone-me.com to be a s*x line operator (please no insults or abuse). The only thing is, the registration form asks me for my sort code and account number, so that they can pay me presumably. Is it safe to give this kind of information out? Thanks!

  1. You will have to give it to a genuine employer if you want to get paid, but i dont know how genuine this place is.

  2. Yes it is safe.

Every person you have ever given a cheque to has that info!

The info that it is ok to give is basically everything that is on your cheques. Bank, branch address, sort code, account number, account name.

You only need worry if they ask for info beyond that, & that is the maximum they need to be able to pay you.

  3. I  would advise you not to give out your bank details online. I would only give my details if i had spoken to the employer in person and i knew for definite that it was not a scam.

  4. I did this and it was fine.

  5. do not ever put your bank account number online for a site you are unsure of.

  6. Yeah, that info is fine to give out.  No one can get into your account from that information.

  7. I'm a mystery shopper and they pay me direct to my bank account, so I had to give this info. If they wanted to access your account for themselves they would have to know your PIN number  or passwords, so don't worry.

  8. It is probably OK to give this information out but only if you can send it by post to a UK address. Don't give it out over the internet.

When you are signed up send me your details - I might want to have a bit of hanky panky with you on the phone lol.

  9. do you have another debit card that you could use? so you could give them one that has no money in it?

  10. In a word - NO!!!
