I have Bank of America. They began to charge me .60 cents for each online transaction I made. They never did this before, and all of the sudden they began to do it, with out notifying me. This led to a chain reaction and caused me to overdraft mulitiple times. Who do I complain to? They won't revert the charges, even though it was their fault! I feel like a was scammed to the fullest! WHO do I goto to show them my statements, because if anyone else sees it, they will know exactly how badly I was scammed!!!!....PLEASE HELP!

  1. Don't give up trying to get those fees reversed. Try calling there customer service number, speaking to Branch managers, emailing there ceo & upper level supervisors. Also try to see if they have a Public Relations Department.Write letters flood them with phone calls. try contacting the FTC or FDIC- I think one of them is who banks are regulated by.

  2. There are numerous complaints against BOA's tactics on RipOffReport.com

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do other than taking your business elsewhere. I strongly recommend using local credit unions...they tend to be more human than the big banks.

  3. This is another prime example of the banks taking advantage of people.   They did notify you, only you didn;t know about it.  Every time they send you a statement with a little notice included, it usualy means there has been a change made in your current agreement with them.  If you read the fine print you will see what hoops you have to jump through to avoid these "changes" in your contract.

But there is a way to deal with it.  Here is some contact information on who to file a complaint with.

Report the credit card issuer to the Comptroller of the Currency.  Phone number is 202-874-4700.

Report the company to your state's attorney general's office. You can find links to your state's AG website at naag.org.  Your state might allow you to file a complaint online.  This is probably the most effective complaint to make as it is the attorney general's who have filed most of the lawsuits against credit card companies.  For example, it was the California AG who sued Providian and forced them to pay the largest judgment against a credit card company ever.

Report the company to the Better Business Bureau. Submit your case for dispute resolution online at www.bbb.org.

Report the company to banking regulators. Their mailing address is Division of Credit Practices, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission, Washington, D.C. 20580 or file a complaint online at www.ftc.gov.

  5. I know exactly what you are speaking of.  Our company just started recently receiving charges for every transaction that took place in our accounts.  We have since moved our accounts to another bank, with little to no fees.  They are very crooked.
