My husband lives in my country (Afghanistan) and i live in US/New York ... he wants me to open a bank account here so that he can easily transfer money from his account to my account.

I never had an account before, so i don't know much about it. Can you please explain what to do? ... I mean is it easy to transfer money from his account to mine while he's not living in US? ... And how to open an account online? ... I mean they have so many options, i personally like Bank Of America, my mom and brother have an account there and so far they have no problem with them.

Should i check the "MyAccess Checking" ... as they don't have any requirements like minimum balance required and no direct deposit requirement.

Waiting ...

  4. You need to find out if BofA exist in Afghanistan. If not, you can use Citi Bank. Open a/c in US and Afgan.

Transferring money within bank is common and less hassle as long as that bank has a presence in US.

  5. call bank of america they can probably help you better of course because I have no clue. sorry

  6. Okay, I will ask the obvious...why dont you go into your local bank of america and have the guide you through the process. If you dont and have never had a account you need to go bank first. After that then you can have a friend walk you through the steps of opening an online account. Also he needs to have a Bank of America account in Afghanistan if he is going to depost money in your account.
