  1. Complain to the bank immediately. They made a mistake and this is your daughters private information that shouldn't be disclosed to third parties unless she allows that.

  2. you can only hope someone didn't steal her identity... because that's what can happen if bank documents get stolen..

They have your name, your bank account number... EVERYTHING!

  3. She needs to get in touch with her bank and explain what's happened and get her account details changed asap.

  4. you should seriously complain to the bank...thats really bad!

  5. I don't understand the problem...

If you're worried phone your bank n see what they say.

  6. At least they are telling you! I once received someone else's statement in the mail with my statement and did the same thing these people did, I just stuck it in an envelope and sent it to the person. I would go ahead and change your bank account numbers, and yell at the bank though, they should be more careful, this person could have easily stolen all of your daughters money.

  7. I would make sure that it wasnt copied and used for identity theft. Call the bank and tell them and get them to change account number so people can't use the account.

This is quite serious and I would waste no time.

  8. Contact the bank and complain also yell loudly at them for their breech of security. My mum recently got a bill in and it also had another persons bill in it aswell, she phoned up the company and they didn't seen to bothered which she felt was terrible.

  9. Isn't it self-explanatory?

  10. Sounds like to me that her statement was accidentally included with someone else's and then sent on to her.  Speak to the bank about this incident. Gross violation of her privacy although I do not think it is actionable.

  11. If the other person who accidently received your daughter's statement, was to de fraud her,I doubt they would advertise the fact by sending on the statement, and alerting her to fact the bank slipped up.They would of let her think the statement was delayed in the post, giving them more time to draw money out.

Not everyone is dishonest, the person thought they were doing your girl a favour.

But for peace of mind , refer to the bank.

  12. I don't understand your question. The person who got it has been kind enough to take the trouble to forward it, they could have not bothered and binned it.

  13. Isn't it a relief to know they are only conscientious about charging us?

  14. I owuld call the bank. But to be honest, if the person went to the trouble of sending it to you, I am sure it is fine. But in case, you may want to change account numbers..

  15. I once left some copies at Kinko's with 2 of my bank statements on them. One of the statements showed well over $10K in an account, so I was concerned. I called the bank wanting to close the account, and they told me not to worry about it.

Sure enough 2.5 years later and nothing ever happened to that account.

Call the bank and explain the situation and ask for their advice. They're the ultimate fraud experts.

    Good luck.

  16. Sounds OK but check with the bank for any unauthorized activity's

  17. Thats breach of data protection act

Phone the bank and kick a@@

  18. tell her to take it in to the bank show them, she might also be best opening another account n closing that one to be on the save side
