Bank teller or bill collector, which one is better?

bill collector- cubical, pressure to get a certain amount of money from people, get cursed and yelled at by debtors, etc etc.

bank teller- work at a desk and greet people, cash checks, withdrawls, etc.etc., must have accurate counting skills,

  1. Are you asking which job you should take?

    There is a lot of pressure with being a bill collector.  You're right, everyone hates you and no one is happy to hear from you.  You'll have to make your quota and your manager will be on top of you all day long.  Your salary will probably be commissioned based.  The more you collect the more you make.

    A bank teller is completely different.  There will be little pressure but your salary will reflect that as well.  

    You don't get paid well to do easy jobs.

  3. Bank Teller - once you're employed by a bank, you have a lot of career options.  Also, banks tend to have really good benefits.

  4. Personally, I would never want to be a bill collector.  

    I have been a bank teller (and teller manager, etc.) and it is a pretty enjoyable job, particularly when you get to know your customers.

    As to which one is better for you, only you can decide that.
