Banking Cheque Help?

Hi

I need to send a cheque to Florida for our hotel stay, as only other option was to send photocopy of our credit card in post which didnt feel safe doing.

How do I write a cheque in UK in dollars? does anyone know, is this possible?

If they will only accept a check, you should be able to go to your personal bank and have them issue a US$ draft payable to the hotel and then you will mail the draft to the hotel.  Your bank will exchange your GBP for USD.

I thought they will accept VISA and MasterCard online?
