Banking deposit help?

There was a deposit made to my bank account but I know it's not mine can i keep it?

If you are not sure if it is yours, you need to contact the bank ASAP to verify whether it is or not.  You can keep it for now, but if it is not yours, I'm sure that who ever deposited the funds into the wrong account will start wondering where their money is and contact the bank.  It may take months before they figure out where it went, but eventually they will find the mistake and take the money back.

If its not yours, then the bank will automatically get it back.

Do you have principles?

If you have with no regard to others & no sense or right and wrong.... keep the money.... & you'll never feel good about yourself again.

Notify the bank!

If you rationalize this to keep the money... you've decieved the bank and yourself.

Get it out before they realise, they cant do **** about it as it is their mistake however leave it in and they can take it.

Well, yes you can, but there is the question of if it is right or not. And it might be somone you know cause anyone is allowed to deposit money into anyones account but not allowed to withdrawl. odd right?

I would call the bank and see what it was just in case later they see there mistake and decide to take it out of your account and make you overdraw. Not good.
