Does anyone know around how much it will cost to file chapter 7 bankruptcy? Or has anyone recently went through this process?

It really depends on the attorney....a chapter 7 bankruptcy usually costs from 800-1500.00 and it could be more, it depends on how much the attorney wants. Best advice is to check your local area with a few different attorneys and do a price shop, but if you are in doubt about an attorney you can verify their information at the bar association in your state. It should tell you if they are active, and how long they have practiced in law. Good Luck!
