Banned from xbox live...?

I woke up this morning realising that i have been banned from xbox live :(

I have been banned once before, but only for a day. This is my second time, i dont even know why I am banned.

How long will i be banned for?

And also i have tried to recover my gamertag but it wont let me so now im scared ill never get it back

Were you a jerk and pissed someone off, if so maybe he/she got all their friends to send in a complaint which will for sure get you banned. call for technical support to see what they (xbox) says maybe it can be resolved.

I've gotten banned before too. The worst two days of my life. I couldn't figure out why and I came to the conclusion that it was what my motto said. No swearing or anything, just the messege is what made someone flip out and report me. Just wait a few days and you'll get it back, if not call Xbox and yell at them.

is your xbox modded? have you been running cheats on xbox live? if so, then only your MAC address on the xbox 360 was banned, they never ban profiles for those issues, the only way to get your profile "banned" is to break the law, by menacing other players online, and not your casual "hey u suck blah blah" but you have to show enough to convince MS that you pose a real threat outside of the digital world....otherwise, if you arent cheating/modding, and you havent been menacing, your in good shape, worst case scenerio is your suspended for x amount of days, or..maybe you just need to re up your subscription? maybe your prepaid time ran out?
