I have a few companys , I would like to start to advertize for ,how do I do this with out spending my childrens college money in the proccess? thank you for any help !!

If you have a web company there are tonnes of ways you can advertise without really spending any money. The great thing is that you don't need to spend money on banner ads to do it. Just take advantage of social web sites to gain credibility in your area (s) of expertise and use that to drive traffic to your pages.

1) Leverage content sharing sites that get highly indexed by search engines and can drive traffic to your pages: Squidoo, Hub Pages, Gather, kaboodle, sldeshare, scribd, Google Notebook, Google base, cafe press

2) Invest in Search Engine Marketing - Yahoo! Search Marketing and Google both have great products that allow you to drive traffic by buying keywords on search as well as posting text ads on relevant content sites. You ONLY pay for traffic (clicks) that go to your site. You can also optimize performance by putting a cookie on your transaction pages to determine what specific text ads or key words actually drive purchases.

3) If you haven't properly SEO'd your site then as an interim step develop a blog that will help drive traffic to your site based on key words that people would use to find your products.
