Banos, Ecuador hotel question:?

I'm planning a trip to Banos Ecuador. I'm having a hard time finding a selection of hotels to choose from online. Is it even necessary/advisable, for me to book hotels online prior to my stay? Or are cheap hotels so readily available, that I don't even need to book ahead of time? If it should be booked ahead of time, does anyone have any cheap hotel recommendations or at least know of good online webpages that have a good selection of hotels? Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

It's sometimes better to book though a reputable website which has local customer service in your country. I've enclosed a link to one as an example.

But you can just turn up and risk not getting a room at a decent place. Poor quality hotels always have spare rooms in Quito ... not sure about Banos though.

actually, Baños is quite good and easy to orient place... You can get a bus from Quito and will be there in 3 hrs... Hotels... So, just step out to side of woterfall there is not bad hotel with swiming pool... also, do not forget to visit rafting tour - it is amaizing.
