Bansha Jax to steal the show in www.sheffieldretiredgreyhounds.co.uk at Sheffield
Bansha Jax’s confidence will be at a high in the www.sheffieldretiredgreyhounds.co.uk, a 500 metres A2 race, taking place at Sheffield on Tuesday, July 10th. The blue dog was unlucky in his last two appearances, but
stepping down to this class should work as a morale booster for him.
After suffering a shameful defeat in an open race at Coven, the C. Hopkins-trained came to Sheffield, but forgot to bring his luck alongside. As a result, he ended up third in the previous two races, despite having a great chance
on both occasions.
The dashing hound has won many A2 contests in the past and will aim to repeat the show. So, one can easily expect him to do a fine work in today’s clash, which holds a handy cash prize worth £102.
Others in the crew are: Tamara, Frisby Falcon, Firmo Dailydogs, Baytown Boss and Cool Con. The action is scheduled to get underway at 21:14 (GMT).
Frisby Falcon is all set to grab a medal, but not essentially the gold one. The blue hound has also won this kind of races in the past, but it is hard to recommend him for the top prize after his recent two poor outings. Similar
is the case with Cool Con, who could only beat the back marker in his previous three appearances.
Baytown Boss is in the protective armour after some rough rides lately. Since winning a similar race in mid June, the black dog has been struggling with his form. We expect his lean patch to continue tonight.
Firmo Dailydogs is stepping up to this class, but could well be ready for it. L. Stephenson’s charge recently notched up the top rank in an A3 event, in which he wrapped up the proceedings in 29.88 seconds. An improvement is
required to beat this line-up.
Tamara has a strong allegiance of fans at Sheffield, but it is not sure whether they will support him at the level. After two back-to-back wins, he is jumping up to this level and despite the fact that he is in a good form,
anything similar to his recent efforts would be enough tonight.
According to our calculations, Bansha Jax has the best chance of walking away with the first prize. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
