Bansha Mo to steal the show in williamhill.com Angel Of The North Oaks Final
The Final of the williamhill.com Angel Of The North Oaks will be hosted by Newcastle over 480 metres flat on Wednesday, 17th October. Trying their luck with the £3,000 prize money are Bansha Mo, Brunswick Jenny, Lemon Sinead, Centurion Dolly,
Moyar Kite and Fabulous Shiraz. All the entries are well seasoned at the level, and the joint favourites for the race tonight are Bansha Mo and Brunswick Jenny.
The two-year-old black b***h, Bansha Mo, has the advantage of racing from the red trap, she has won from other numbers too, but the red box provides the leverage of speeding early on and avoiding crowds or getting bumped. With the exception of Grade T1 race,
Scarty Lad’s daughter has been racing at the open level since 31st July, 2012.
She could win only thrice out of the outings.
Racing out in white due to the third trap, the two-year-old won the William Hill Ladies Standard Trophy on 27th August, 2012 at Nottingham over 500 metres.
Leading from the first spot had her nailing the prize money in 29.98 seconds. Expert Gem settled into the second position after missing the winner’s crown by a head’s mark.
The H. Crapper trained then won the third heat of the Maurice Jackson Waterford Crystal Trophy on 31st August, 2012 at Doncaster over 483 metres. Racing out in blue jacket this time, the two-year-old was quick to race away, kept a determined grip
on the lead and raced by the rail.
She made it to the other end of the wire in 29.49 seconds.
Catching up with the second position after staying adrift by 2 ¾ lengths was, Droopys Hope.
The black b***h then won as the favourite entry of the first heat of the Caffreys National Oaks on 17th September, 2012 at Nottingham over 500 metres. The quick pace and the lead that she remained faithful to throughout the track distance had
her timing the race in 29.60 seconds.
She will need to look out for the two-year-old, Brunswick Jenny, who first won a Grade A1 race and then was successful in an open race.
Both are backed by 7 to 4 odds.
