Question:

Baptist and Evangelical?

I am curious about the differences in service and communion. I have gone to an Evangelical church all my life, but part of my family is Baptist. The preacher is real nice and I knew three women that were Baptist too. I like the positivity and the family oriented happiness. I think I might start going to the Baptist church.

At my church, we took communion every Sunday and you could only take it if you were Baptized. Is this the same for Baptist churches or will it be very different?

  1. The same. Only Baptists don't take it as often.

  2. How often comunion is taken varies by the church.  Think of Baptists being under the larger unbrealla of evangelical.  It is probably mostly similar in theology.

  4. Baptist believe in baptism, and evangelicals believe in the good news that there is a Savior who can save us from our sins.  Unfortunately very few accept scripture, or the Savior of Scripture, YAHOSHUA, and so all are teaching lies.

  5. I'm Baptist and we have communion every fourth Sunday, but I'm not sure if that's just my church. At my Pentecostal church, it's every Sunday.

Anyone can take the communion, regardless of whether or not they have been baptised yet.
