Bar b q outdoor party?

i am having a out door party i am asking guest to bring any of the items paperware, foil, bottled water, soda, music or a side dish they have a choice to bring one two or any of these items i am providing the meats for grilling etc...any other suggestions u can give me on giving a bar b q

a variety is always nice so try to get a little of everything get a lot of something everyone likes though

Make it progressive where everyone brings a course, like one person will bring an appetizer, two or three will bring side dishes, one or two will bring a dessert course, make one a watermelon which is a big hit at summer parties.  Have one person bring ice and cups, another bring soda, etc..  Repeat dishes are a disaster, if you give them choices off of a set menu you won't end up with 7 potato salads and nothing to drink and nothing sweet to eat at the end.

Tell each person what they should bring, that way u don't have a bunch of people bring the same things.
