Bar chewing....?

Question

My hamsters dont stop chewing the bars all night is there a way i could stop this.If i put a blanket over the cage will it do anything.

bar chewing is not good, it can misalign teeth and misalign the brain as well, causing brain damage. Bar chewing is sometimes caused by boredome so make sure there are PLENTY of things for your hamster to play with. Swap the toys regulalrly to prevent the hamster getting tired of the toy too. You can buy woood chews but some hamster will not chew these so after that you cn try plain dog biscuits (yes they are fine for hamsters.) after you have tried that and nothing helps it is highly reccomended you house the hamster in an aquarium instead

This can be potentially dangerous to the hamster and anoying to you. There are sprays that you can buy to stop your hamster from doing it and they are 100% safe. Just ask around at your pet shops.

Bar chewing is a sign of extreme boredom. i would consider getting a bigger cage for your hamsters or making the current cage more interesting.  make sure there is a place for them to hide, and excercise wheel, and other toys that you can get at a pet store. also consider interacting with them more instead of covering the cage with a blanket.
