I am a Obama fan but I try to stay open minded and pay attention to this political battle sence this my first year I can vote for a president and I believe this is a extremely important race. My mom is a huge McCain fan and we battle it out all the time. Some times she says things that get the wheels in my head turning and I have to look them up. This time I think shes making stuff up. She said that on CNN Barack was interviewed on the situation on Georgia and Russia. She mentioned that Brarack was blaming McCain for the fight between the two countries. I understand that this issue is much bigger then McCain but according to my mom Brarack seems to to believe that John McCain is in cahoots with Russia and is in support of the invasion?!?!? Obviously if this was said by Barack Obama then it was a untrue rumor. I looked on CNN.com ant had a hard time finding any info on this, If any one has a comment or some links that I could be of some help I would appreciate it.

  1. i didn't hear it any ware, so she is just trying to pull u on her side.

and little bit on that conflict, i think both countries have agreed for this war to happen. because Georgia was devided and there had to be some way of uniting Georgia people.

  2. So what,,,believing what a politicians says is your first mistake.

Politicians can only be judged by how they vote or their accomplishments.

Do not pick you politician because of what a political adds says, or because of what a politician says.

Do not trust, hope, or believe a politician

  3. McCain really could have kept his stupid old mouth shut.  Wars are something we don't need to become involved in for no particular reason.  We've had enough experience with that in Iraq.

GoBama!  Kick some Right Wing Butt

  4. Your mother is confused.  Obama didn't say McCain was responsible for the Russia/Georgia conflict.

Perhaps she's also seen the news that one of McCain's top aids is still a lobbyist for Georgia.

  5. Everything is McCains fault.....

    lol

  6. What I think your mom was talking about is that Obama's people came out saying that McCain was "shotting from the hip" and too aggressive with poor old Russia from the start of the conflict and he somehow made the matters worse.  Okay the reason they say this is to cover Obama's weak nonsensical call for the UN security council involvement where Russia holds a Veto.  Called on both sides to cease fire when it was clear Russia was the aggressor.  Now Obama is where McCain always was on this issue from the start.

The big difference here was that McCain knew the President of Georgia for 15 years and knows Putin and knows that he is still in his KGB days mindset.

The facts are that Obama's people tried to credit Obama for the cease fire saying Russia had accepted Obama's demands when the man is busy playing with his sand white house on the beach in Hawaii!  That cease fire failed as did any notion that he has had any influence on this conflict.   McCain and Obama can pronounce all they want but the real power and real players are Bush and his administration and the Presidents of countries like France, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia & Poland who are on the ground in Georgia offering real support not just words.

  7. Not exactly.  The Georgian President insinuated that McCain was all words (All Americans are Georgians) and thought actions from him would be more appropriate.  One of McCain's aides is a paid lobbyist (surprise) for the Georgian government on Capital Hill.  McCain also is close to the Georgian President himself, and has had contact with him as recently as two months ago.

Obama was just reiterating those facts.

  8. Let me see if I understand this.McCain got the Russians to invade Georgia??How is that possible..Typical left wing response..Blame the republicans for everything.,I would think that John McCain would hate War because of his POW experience. No Barack did not blame McCain, but many democrat socialists did.Barack is promising so many things that he cannot deliver on.He scares me.

  9. From what I've seen so far (and I have not paid complete attention here so I may have missed something)

One of McCain's aides was found out to have been accepting money from Georgia.  That is causing some uncomfortable questions for McCain's campaign.

Then there is the fact that we are doing practically nothing about the situation.  The main reason we are doing nothing is because we can do nothing.  Our army and marines are currently tied up in Afghanstian and mostly in Iraq with the Surge.  Obama "may" (I never heard him on this subject) be blaming McCain for the troops not being available for this situation because they are tied up in Iraq.

We could try a Navy and/or Air Force attack; but the truth is that Russia is too strong and could absorb that attack.  If it gets bad enough, we would eventually have to invade to stop the fighting; and to do that we would need the Army and the Marines.  And they aren't available so we can only respond with this half-hearted attempt Bush is doing.

Which is basically telling Russia that if they don't stop, we will be very angry and we will write a letter telling them how angry we are.  Hardly a real threat to someone like Putin or Medvedev.

So IF Obama blamed McCain for this, it would almost certainly be that our options are limited because of our situation in Iraq.  But again, I did not actually hear Obama say that.

  10. He never said that your mom took it completely out of context....
