So this presidential election is turning out to be race vs gender. do you think that is true? by race vs gender i mean Obama as an African American and McCain's running mate Sarah Palin.

Do you think this will influence voters? Will it hurt Obama or McCains chances of winning?

  1. I'm not sure most women relate to Palin going shooting with her 3 year old son and having whorish college pics.    Plus she is the Pro-Life candidate's Pro-Life candidate.

  2. Its def the race thing if he was some blue eyed man whose name was James Smith, there wouldnt be ongoing bashing or even questioning of qualifications against him with some former Miss Alaska turned gov hockey mom.

  3. It'll be race hands down.

The reason why people dont want Obama because they are jealous of how he can talk so brilliantly on the Issues to thousands of people - especially when he's black.

If Obama was white - he'd be winning hands down and would be destroying Mccain in the polls.

They would rather prefer the troll Mccain and the moose eater Palin rather than what America needs.........

  4. Your choice should not be based on race OR gender, but rather on who would be the best person for the country. That just happens to be the African American.

  5. Hillary's loss shows that people are more willing to vote for a loud mouthed fake and charlatan because he is male rather than let a woman be President.

  6. well people can say whatever they want but for sure

Obama wake up the racial issue in our country

like Hillary did the same with feminism

America still a young country if you compare with Europe

we still an uncivilized nation is not the worst one but we need to do some improvements for sure

altruism ,tolerance and love are the tools for the new generations

at this time we still use sefisness, zero tolerance and loveless

  7. First of all, It seems that for the most part no one is affected by John Mccain's choice of a running mate and it doesn't sway someone's mind if its already made up...

Second. I thought that this was an election against two Presidents. I was sure that John Mccain was a male, therefore its not race vs. gender. I'm very tired of seeing people compare a possible vice president to a possible president. I mean its almost as if Sara Palin is running for freaking president because thats how everyone makes it out to be.

  8. i truly believe if i could find a L*****n pygmy to run with me I could be VP of America

  9. I think it's true in some ways although I wish it wasn't.  There are so many more important things to be worrying about than whether someone is a woman or whether they are half African American.

It will both help and hurt.  The fact that Obama is black has secured him the african american vote, so it helped in that way.   It will hurt in terms of racists and people that aren't racists but are sick of the race card being used and are therefore being turned off by his campaign.

Same for McCain.   Some women voters will be more attracted to the McCain ticket now that it includes Palin.   Some sexists will be less likely to vote for McCain now that he has Palin.

Overall though I think it's going to come down to issues and who people think is the best for the job based on policy, character, and record.

  10. I think that Bush has screwed things up so badly in this country, we would even vote for Ross Poirot. But, Obama will win because he is the most worthy   candidate,   and   deserves  to  lead  our  country  in a much  better  direction. It is so refreshing to finally see someone who is articulate, knowledgeable, and  does not mind showing affection to his wife and family publicly.Mc Cain and his old decrepet self will thankfully not win.

  11. Of course it will influence voters.  Do you think someone of Obama's limited qualifications would make it if they were white?  I know far too many people who are only voting for Obama because he's black.  That's racism.  I'm half Mexican and would never vote for a candidate because they were Mexican.  It would be an insult to my integrity and intelligence.

As far as Palin, it's too early to tell, but I doubt sexism will have as much an impact as racism.  It's not a woman America seems to want, it's a liberal woman they want.
