What is it about Barack Obama that makes crowds shout! What makes his abilities so inspirational?

since most of his speeches have been written, and he uses a teleprompter, it's hard to tell. People can be charismatic, and speak well to the public, but that doesn't mean they have what it takes to be president. Besides, he is only inspirational if you like what he is saying. I personally am tired of him telling everyone what is wrong with this country instead of what he could do about it. If he was so concerned with the condition of America, then he should have gotten some fires going when he was in the Senate. Yet, he did basically nothing.
