Baran Bally Hi to swing back into form in the Smash & Grab Hurdles –Heat 1 at Sittingbourne on 8th April
The first heat of the Smash & Grab Hurdles at Sittingbourne over 480 metres hurdle is to be held on Sunday, 8th April. The £100 prize money has attracted Mullpark Too, Romeo In Miami, Swift Defender, Wise Signal, Baran Bally Hi and Farloe Bowser.
An interesting entry on the lineup is Baran Bally Hi, Tyrur Ted’s four-year-old black son out of b***h Druids Judicial. He took quite a lot of time to progress through the starts that he undertook during the new season.
He shot off with a third position in a 480 metres race at Hall Green on 6th January. The race was won by Kingsmill Super who clocked the distance in 28.90 seconds. His next race found him finishing fifth at Hall Green again over the same distance
but in a hurdle.
Trainer D. Knight, disappointed with the initial performances, drilled the four-year-old over 380 metres hurdle on 17th January at Crayford. He still could not win any race but stretched a string of four third positions in the races that came
his way after the training session.
After getting declared as not raced in the Sittingbourne over 480 metres at Sittingbourne on 26th February, Baran Bally Hi was once again trained over 515 metres hurdle.
His seasonal debut victory surfaced on 22nd March in the Coral Hurdle at Hove over 515 metres as he completed the trip in 30.48 seconds leading by 3 ¼ lengths. The runner up of the race was Blackhall Prince who joined the winner after racing for
30.74 seconds.
Settling into the third position was Whiterock Champ. The ½ favourite of the race, Glenashe Rock, ended fourth.
Not being able to hold on to the success, Baran Bally Hi scored second in the next start in the Coral Co.UK Hurdle on 29th March at Hove over 515 metres. The race was won by Whiterock Champ who timed the distance in 30.77 seconds. Baran Bally
Hi joined the winner in 30.87 seconds.
The 4/5 favourite of the race, Glenashe Rock, was positioned fifth.
Losing after the very first victory can easily provoke him to nail another race and that can take place just tonight if he puts in all the sincere effort.
