Question:

Barbadoes-Terra Caribbean?

I am going to Barbados in the Summer for my Honeymoon and I am wanting to rent an apartment from Terra Caribbean but I am a little worried that they might not give us all they say they would and the have a policy where there is no refunds. Have you heard of Terra Caribbean? Also, if we stay at that apt we will be staying in Worthing, Christ Church, what do you recommend to do there? Is it close to the market, shops, etc?

Thanks in anticipation for you help.

I haven't done business with them, but I also haven't heard anything bad about them.  I thought I heard of them dealing especially with the more upscale property developments in Barbados in particular?

Worthings is along the south coast of Barbados, the so-called "Gold Coast".  It is right on the out-skirts of Bridgetown...  Highway 7 leads right from Bridgetown and the airport to the Worthings area...  The worthings Neighbourhood is about 3-4 miles away from the capital.

e.g. For example this picture would be right around the Hastings/Worthings area on the south coast. Note. the cruise ship in the upper left-hand corner which is north-west of Bridgetown.

Worthings is close to Hastings, St. Lawrence Gap, the Hilton Hotel, the Garrison Savannah (horse racing track) and the Graeme Hall bid sanctuary... A short distance away you also have the Eastern Caribbean branch office for the United Nation as well as a number of other international organisations along the coast too.  The Inter-American Development Bank, Ernst and Young etc. etc.

You'll have tons a shops around.  Right near Rendezvous Hill you have the Big B supermarket and also the post office.  Close to the beach near Rendezvous Hill right on Highway 7 there's also another competing supermarket as well...  (My personal favourate.) they sometimes have a promotion where if you spend a certain amount in their supermarket they will personally send a courier to drive you all the way to your house (If you live like within 3 miles of the store I think)  It comes in VERY handy if you ask me since you don't always have to take the regular bus with all your groceries in hand.

Worthings is a nice area.  Just down the road you have the Prime Minister's office and stuff and tons of white sand beaches just across the street all along that coast.

Also check out the Barbados Property News Magazine very informative on stuff going on around Barbados' housing industry.
