Barbados money is, of course, in Barbadian dollars and it's higher than American.

For example, 1.00 USD -> 2.00 BDS, 20.00 USD -> 40.00 BDS

Barbados uses its own currency but does accept US dollars in various places.

We have the barbados dollar, but US $ is accepted everywhere. It would not be turned away from anywhere, I have people come here with nothing but US and only use local currency when they get it in there change. However the US $ is the only foreign currency that you can use here, but a few places will take pounds or canadian dollars. Hope this helps.
