hi! My cousin's Barbie Dolls all have relatively tangled hair. I was wondering if there is anything that I can wash/spray it with so that it combs out smoothly? Thank you!

  1. some detangler spray shoud work.

  2. Wet their hair and you pretty much have to use all of the conditioner in a bottle, hair is going to come out, but at least they will have brushed hair. Brush with a EXTREMELY strong thin bristle comb.

  3. Hi Luv!

I restore vintage Barbies as well as do one of a kind dolls using the newer "gals" I have found that "No More Tangles" works very well as does everyday liquid fabric softner (not dryer sheet type) I comb their hair with a very ridgid metal pet/flea comb  availbable at pet stores to de-snag those unrully locks and follow up restyling with a boil perm  (use coffee stirrers as curlers and then submerse hair in boiling  water (use microwave)15 seconds max of 30 then submerse in cold water same time frame...let air dry until thourougly dry and VOILA...whole new do!!!

    Hope this helps Luv!

    Warmly

  4. Wash the dolls hair with some gentle shampoo, while you are shampooing, don't rub the soap in, just sort of squeeze it from root to ends, rinse well in cool water and add conditioner, use the same method of working it in.  Let the conditioner sit on the hair for a few minutes, then rinse well with cool water.  Using a comb, work sections of the hair from ends to root until you have it all untangled.  Let hair air dry.  If these are collectible dolls, I'd be more careful and really do some research before messing with their hair.  Good luck!

  5. I wud tell u to just wet the hair and continue to comb it out. After a while it should be to tangled. if this doesnt work try a brush and run your fingers through it. I really wouldnt recommend detangling spray becuz its a barbie doll. But u could use it if u would like to use detanling spray its ok.

  6. I use fabric softener, warm water & a metal pet comb for badly tangled doll hair. Soak the hair & comb small sections at a time. I start at the bottom of the hair & work my way up.

Shampoos & conditioners that are made for human hair can leave an oily residue on synthetic hair which is what is used on Barbie dolls.

  7. Detangler Spray, and LOADS of conditioner, then wash it all out. When you brush it don't use a thin comb. Use one of those brushes with spread apart bristles so it doesn't pull out too much hair. The other option is to put their hair in buns and keep it that way!

    Hope that helped!
