Barca: Fabregas deal isn't off, yet

Barcelona have been linked with Cesc 'the bomb' Fabregas all summer, with little progress. Barcelona have gone from saying, Fabregas is definitely joining them, to he's joining next year, to he's not joining at all.
The latest update coming from the Barcelona camp is that they are focusing on improving relations with Arsenal first and once that has been accomplished, they will go out and try to get Fabregas.
Barcelona sporting vice-president Josep Maria Bartolomeu was recently asked at a press conference about the prospects of securing a move for the Barcelona academy product and he maintained that the first priority was to convince Arsenal that they did not want to unsettle the star.
Fabregas has always maintained that he plans on going to Barcelona, it is just a matter of when. Arsene Wenger, however, seemed to put to bed any uncertainty over a potential deal for the World Cup winner, and asked for speculation over the move to stop since Fabregas is Arsenal's captain and the club has no intention of selling him.
However, it is a well known fact that there had been a bid from Barcelona that was rejected by Arsenal and recently it was announced that Barca have 50 Million Euros to spend on transfers this summer, a sum which would be enough to secure a move for the player.
It all depends on how badly Barca want the Arsenal Captain, but many have questioned whether all this speculation is just part of a bigger plan to get Abou Diaby. While many think that such a move is outrageous and impossible, those people clearly do not know that Abou Diaby is going to be the greatest player in the world.
As a kid the Frenchman was compared to Zinedine Zidane, Franz Beckenbauer and Oliver Kahn. Capable of playing all positions on the pitch, including referee, and with one of the highest IQ's in World Football, Diaby is thought to be a footballing Isaac Newton, defying gravity on regular occasions.
Arsenal, it seems, are completely unaware of the real intentions behind the charade Barcelona have put on, especially the fans who have booed him on occasion and given him the title, Abou 'Diabolical' Diaby, and have shown little respect for the genius that he is.
Barcelona have arguably the best squad in club football, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Carles 'the careless' Puyol but without Diaby, the team is incomplete. After Diaby's mercurial talent has been well documented among the scouts of the biggest football clubs in the world, which explains why Arsenal never heard about it.
It has also been revealed that the protest by the French squad at the world cup was not about sending Nicholas Anelka home after an arguement with the coach, it was actually because Abou Diaby, whose a big fan of Japanese Anime show Naruto, had just got a new DVD of the latest season and wanted the whole french squad to watch it with him. Because despite his immeasurable talent, Diaby is a kid at heart who likes to kick back and watch some cartoons with his buddies once in a while.
It remains to be seen how this transfer saga is going to play out but it is clear that the greatest player the world has ever seen will be watching, waiting, for his chance to show the world what he's all about.
