Since David Villa’s return from injury, he has not been greeted in the same manner as before and has found it difficult to break in to the Catalan’s first team.
Villa was seen as a vital component of former manager Pep Guardiola’s plans at the Nou Camp outfit, but since he fell victim to the cruel leg injury, he has failed to make an impact.

Even youngster Christian Tello is preferred over the record Spanish goal-scorer and Villa is reportedly looking for a move out from the Liga giants which would see him grab minutes on the pitch.
Barcelona are however hesitant to sell their striker and their board have released statements in this regard.
“In January we will keep Villa and it is important to remember that Barcelona is a club that habitually does not accept offers for star players in January,”
“David is a player that brings goals and intensity to the team.
“Now he has recovered from a serious injury I believe that he is offering a good level on the field.
“It is normal that big players desire to play and this is perfect for the competition in the squad.” Zubizarreta is quoted as saying by Sky Sports
The Catalans are currently top of La Liga charts.
