According to reports, La Blaugrana have lodged an official complaint to UEFA regarding the conditions of the pitch at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
Barcelona visited the home stadium of the current Italian champions to play out the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday. The highly competitive match ended in a 0-0 stalemate with both teams failing to score a goal.
Many have observed that the state of the San Siro pitch was poor and both teams had to suffer due to it. Players were seen struggling as they attempted to play out on a slippery surface with chunks turf coming lose as the game progressed.
Reports suggest the Pep Guardiola’s men have blamed the condition of the pitch for their lack of goal-scoring and have taken the matter to the organizing committee.
Although both teams created a number of chances at goal, none were able to find the back of the net and the Catalans believe it was due to the poor condition of the pitch.
Both teams were noticed thriving to take shots at the goal as their players slipped while attempting to control the ball.
San Siro is one of the most popular stadiums across the world of football and is shared by two great Italian clubs, AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. However, Wednesday’s game reflects that some serious work needs to be done on the surface of this great stadium.

In an official statement, a Barca representative was quoted as saying:

"Varabyov has included the complaint in his report and UEFA will demand an explanation from the Italian club.”
AC Milan also voiced their concern over the matter and it is hoped that action will be taken sooner rather than later.
With the second leg set to take place at the Nou Camp on Wednesday, it is hoped that there will no such problems when Milan visit the Catalan capital.
