Barcelona's Daniel Alves praises Real Madrid on achieving the Copa del Rey title - Copa del Rey News

Barcelona's right back, Daniel Alves, was all-praise for their Spanish rivals Real Madrid after the Los Blancos edged past the Catalan giants by a 1-0 margin in the final of Copa del Rey.
The match took place on Wednesday, 20 April at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, Mestalla.
Alves congratulated Jose Mourinho’s team on their triumph, but assured that Barca would make a strong come-back once both teams lock horns again in a few days time in the UEFA Champions
League. Both Spanish giants will take on each other in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday, 27 April at the Bernabeu.
The Brazilian was disappointed at his team’s loss but admitted that Real Madrid played better football and in the end deserved to win. He further stated, "They took the opportunity they
had in extra-time and took the trophy," said the Brazilian right-back. "We are going with our heads held high."
Former Sevilla player urged his team to put this defeat behind them and concentrate on the upcoming fixtures coming up both in the La Liga and the Champions League. The right-back claimed
that it was hard to swallow the defeat, as Barcelona had dreams of completing the treble, but Madrid shattered them.
He further stressed, “We must accept defeat, just because they have scored one more goal than us. You have to congratulate Real Madrid but now we have to try and change things in the Champions
League.”
The 27-year-old was apologetic towards his fans, who expected the Catalan giants to score at least once during the final, but confirmed that Barca will come out hard at Madrid, the next
time these two lock heads at the Bernabeu.
Alves joined Spanish giants in 2008 and since then has emerged 147 times for the club. He also has 12 goals under his belt so far.
Barcelona are currently leading the La Liga flight with 85 points and look all good to bag another League title as they are eight points clear of their title rivals Real Madrid. Josep
Guardiola’s side will take on Osasuna in their next League game on Saturday, 23 April before they visit Bernabeu for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
