Barcelona's Pep Guardiola refuses to criticise his team following defeat to Getafe
The Catalan coach, Josep Guardiola, is content with his team and does not want to criticize them over the loss which they incurred on the weekend.
Barcelona faced an easier side to face on the weekend and they were expected to win. However, the Spanish Champions could not really capitalize over the weekend and couldn’t get a single point against Getafe, who managed to shock Barcelona.
After losing 1-0 to Getafe, Josep Guardiola does not want to blame any of his players and he has singled the loss as a case of bad luck.
The Catalan coach suggests that even though http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Juan-Valera-c19847 scored in the second half to get three points for his side; his side could easily score two goals during the game but they were simply out of luck.
While about creating chances, Josep Guardiola said:
"We have a team goal and normally we achieve it, but even today, we generated chances and after three days it is never easy.”
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 losing to Getafe and Madrid winning against Atletico Madrid, the Catalan Giants are now six points behind their arch rivals and the leaders of the points table, Real Madrid.
Despite the loss and the generated gap, Josep Guardiola has promised that his team will only come back stronger after losing. He said:
"Overall we played a very good game. We knew [a loss] was going to cost us, while we'd have everything to gain. [Despite the loss] We will rise again and we will go forward."
Barcelona are now only a point above the third placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 and they have to play Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday.
The Spanish Champions are now in a very tough situation. Josep Guardiola will have to win all the weekend fixtures in order to take the competition to Real Madrid. Moreover, the El Clasico is going to take place on 10th December
2011 and Josep Guardiola will have to win the game in order to cut the gap between Madrid back to three points.
It looks like the injury list is not the only thing which is going to concern Guardiola for the rest of the season.
