  1. Try flying in/out of Barcelona using the Barcelona airport.  It's IN Barcelona.  Girona is an hour away.  Not sure where Rues is.  If those are you choices, I'm guessing maybe those discount airlines aren't such a good deal.

The code for Barcelona is BCN.

  2. Well Ryan Air flys into Girona.. Barcelona Airport is about  90 min away..

    Take care..

  3. Reus is over 2 hours away, and Girona is almost as far (but in the other direction).

Honestly, it's not worth it to fly RyanAir into or out of Barcelona. The Girona airport is little more than a tent, and the only transportation available is the bus provided by RyanAir, which is expensive (15€, I think, though it's been a few years).

You will lose time and money flying into one of these airports that are way outside of the city, and if you're only coming for the weekend, it's probably not worth it. I was very frustrated by my experience flying from Girona to "Paris" with RyanAir, as the trip took some 5 hours more (on each of the outbound and the inbound trips) than it would have had we flown directly from BCN to CDG.

Also, be wary of RyanAir offering tickets for 10€ and then charging 70€ in taxes and fees!

The only time I would recommend RyanAir is if you live near one of their out-of-the-city airports and want to travel to Dublin, as they do actually use the main airport there.
