Barcelona B team coach, Luis Enrique, has confirmed about his contact with AS Roma officials regarding the coaching role. He insisted that the prospect of making a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 cannot be ruled out and coaching the Roman outfit already seems an exciting
proposition. He was delighted at being contacted and reckoned that it was an honour for him.
The coach earlier admitted that he was in search of a new adventure preferably somewhere in a top flight. He revealed his desire to coach the Primera Division outfit, Atletico Madrid, before coming in contact with the Italian club. Enrique mentioned that
it would be more fun working with the players in the Italian top division and was sure that players would also enjoy playing under his methods.
Enrique is being linked with the Yellow-Reds as the now coach, Vincenzo Montella, is sure to part ways with the three time Italian Champions. The new owner of the club, Thomas DiBenedetto, urged the need for new leadership at Stadio Olimpico
and shortlisted several other big names for that role.
The coach added, “I have had contact with the Roma directors. It’s an attractive proposal. I know that they have several options at their disposal, as have I. Before making a decision, I must carefully ponder every aspect.”
The 41-year-old started his managerial career in 2008 when he took over the responsibilities at the Camp Nou. He previously played for the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid and Barcelona and retired from professional football before starting his career as a manager.
Apart from the Spaniard, several other names have been associated with a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and AC Milan manager, Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian was earlier
sacked by Chelsea following his inability to lead the Blues towards any silverware this season. Former Chievo Verona boss, Stefano Pioli, has also been linked with the job.
It remains to be seen who gets the managerial role at Stadio Olimpico but Luis Enrique remains a likely candidate.
