Barcelona after Javier Mascherano and Real Madrid want Gaël Clichy

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has insisted Javier Mascherano will not leave the club this summer for a cheap price.
Hodgson has said he could leave should the right offer come along, in the region of £25million. This will prompt Barcelona to make an offer for Mascherano, as they will play on the fact that the captain of Argentina wants to move away from Anfield.
If Hodgson misses out on the chance to bring Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky to Anfield, he will switch his attentions to Carlos Salcido of PSV Eindhoven. Also, former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is ready to make a £15million bid to bring Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt to Inter Milan.
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has targeted St Etienne striker Emmanuel Riviere, and will turn his attentions to Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg if he cannot land Fulham’s Mark Schwarzer.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager José Mourinho wants to bring Arsenal left-back Gaël Clichy to the Bernabéu, while AC Milan could make an offer to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona, enabling them to make a bid for Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabrégas.
Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor wants to stay at the club, despite interest from several clubs, including Real Madrid. However, Mourinho could make a £20million offer to bring in the Togolese front man, paving the way for current Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema to join Manchester United.
Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is weighing up a possible £15million move for Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as a replacement for the retiring Edwin van der Sar, while Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane and Scott Parker of West Ham could be involved in a surprise swap deal, with Keane going to West Ham and Parker going to Tottenham.
West Ham manager Avram Grant is considering bringing in Bayern Munich keeper Michael Rensing, while Wigan boss Roberto Martinez wants to sign Guillermo Franco, who is a free agent after leaving West Ham last season.
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce will go for Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan, while current Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand is a shock target for Italian side Bari.
Ipswich will make a final bid of £4million for Cardiff’s Michael Chopra, while Blackpool target Brett Pitman, who failed to agree personal terms with the club, will join Bristol City. Also, Blackpool boss Ian Holloway will turn his attentions to Newcastle’s Leon Best.
