The Brazilian international is adamant that La Blaugrana can fight their way to the UEFA Champions League final, despite his side’s loss to Chelsea.
The defender has expressed that the semi-final of the prestigious tournament is far from over and has insisted that Barcelona still have a chance to make it to the Allianz Arena for the European showdown in May.
Barca travelled away from home to play the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea on Wednesday. The match that took place at the Stamford Bridge resulted in a 1-0 defeat for the Spanish giants.
Although Wednesday’s result has provided the Blues with an advantage, Dani Alves is staying optimistic about his side’s chances and believes that current UEFA Champions League title holders have what it takes to overturn the first leg’s result.
Wednesday’s game was nothing less than competitive as both teams played some marvellous football. Although the visitors created more chances, they were unable to find the back of the net.
Chelsea, on the other hand, appeared to be doing a good http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 in containing Pep Guardiola’s men.
The Catalan giants were tipped the favourites to emerge victorious from their respective fixture in the last four; however, as of now it, is the English Premier League side that command the advantage over them.
Barca are without a doubt the stronger side as compared to Chelsea and will look to try their best in the second leg. The Spanish giants have proven themselves to be among the strongest sides in Europe and are likely to cause a lot of problems for Chelsea
when the London side visit the Nou Camp next week.
While talking to reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dani-Alves-c9869 quoted:
"We still have a chance to qualify for the final, and now I just hope that our luck in front of goal changes. I'm sure that Chelsea's best player in their team was their goalkeeper, which says it all."
"We’ll have to fight back at the Camp Nou after today’s defeat. I think we deserved to win this game. We need your help [fans] to get to the final in Munich."
