Spanish giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 are rumoured to finally be lining up their first attempt, at landing long term target and Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas. The Catalans were believed to be on the brink of launching their seasonal bid for the Spanish World Cup winner
and from the way things are shaping up, that bid is going to be made in the near future.
Barcelona have been looking to make a move for their former Barcelona youth player, for almost two years now. However, the team has persistently been pushed back to where they came from, by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager, Arsene Wenger. The manager, seems more than
just reluctant to let go of his captain and quite possibly most influential player and that stance that have been made clear by the manager, is yet to change.
However, despite being shown the door time and time again, the Catalans seem to be looking to go ahead and make another attempt at landing Fabregas, once again.
A source close to the Spanish club, when reflecting on this situation is reported to have said: “They still have not spoken formally to Arsenal about him.”
“They had wanted to do it while they were in London for the Champions League Final but it never happened. But they will not give up.”
“As well as the improved cash offer for Fabregas, Barca would also allow Arsenal to choose one of their young players as part of any deal.”
It seems like Barcelona are looking to finally make Arsenal an offer, that they would have to seriously consider before turning down. Should the Catalans offer a fee set in the region of around forty million pounds and include a player in the mix, it would
have even Arsene Wenger, think twice over the future of Fabregas at the Emirates.
The midfielder, without a question of a doubt, is one of the best in the business at what he does. However, at the same time, Arsenal happen to have more than their fair share of creative midfielders. Along with that, the team is currently in desperate need
to land some form of funds. The Gunners are currently going through their sixth season without landing any form of silverware and even Wenger has stated that things are going to change this time around.
Now, in order for those changes to be brought about, the team is going to need funds, which Barcelona are willing to offer in ample amounts.
It is still unclear as to what Arsenal’s response is going to be, should this offer be made for the player, but, what can be said assuredly, is that it is going to greatly affect the immediate future of the club.
