Barcelona disappointed with Fabregas staying at Arsenal
Barcelona gave the official statement in the press conference that Cesc Fabregas will not be joining the Catalan Giants and will remain at Arsenal for the time being as Barcelona were not ready to offer anything above forty million Pounds for the player.
The Barcelona fans “the Blaugranas” were relentlessly trying to argue if Fabregas would transfer. This dilemma had been going on since last summer, numerous rumours were floating around and this was definitely one of the hottest topics to talk about.
Cesc Fabregas ended all speculations and clarified all false rumours about him when he officially announced that he would not be leaving Arsenal this summer.
In response to that Barcelona had a press conference. Commenting on Cesc Fabregas, FC Barcelona regretted the decision of FC Arsenal that Fabregas was not for sale and did not consider the offers made for the player but the official statement remains that that the offers did not exceeded forty million.
Most understandably the only reason Fabregas is at Arsenal this summer is because Arsenal wanted more money from him. This caused him to loose some respect amongst his peers but most professionals know that this is just how their business is and respect it.
Though some may argue that this is ethically wrong as Fabregas was originally from Barcelona; he played for Barcelona’s Youth team. Barcelona were not giving him a chance to move forward in the team so he moved to the Premier League and was bought off by Arsenal FC and moved there in 2003 when he was only sixteen years old.
At Arsenal he rose to stardom and now is the player that everyone loves. Now he is trying to go back to Barcelona but some critics argue this is wrong as Barcelona did not give him a chance and Arsenal did and nurtured him to the player he is now and now he is leaving them after reaching stardom.
Cesc Fabregas is a very gifted Spanish central midfielder and also plays for the Spanish National team. He has represented Spain in the under seventeen 2003 FIFA World Champions. He was also called for the senior squad in the 2006 World Cup and has won the Euro 2008 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
However the fact is that he could have left before if he wanted to by the buyout clause but he did not and he has said this publically that the person that he respects the most after this own father is Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal coach.
The simple truth is that Cesc only wants to go back to his own country and wants to go back to his family. Above all he wants to do it respectfully.
Wenger has grown agitated and annoyed over the whole transfer issue and even though he knows that Fabregas wants to go back to his old club. Wenger has urged him not to go and has asked him to commit with Arsenal.
Fernando Torres, after returning from the World Cup, publically pledged his loyalty to Liverpool and Wenger wants Cesc to do that for Arsenal. After a torrid summer and injury marred season El Nino eluded the whole footballing world in making his transfer. He was wanted by Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City and bids for him had reached an English record of 70 million pounds but the Scrouser was convinced by his manager Roy Hodgson to stay at the club and to much of Liverpool’s delight, he at last announced that he would be spending the next season with the Reds.
