The draws for the Copa del Rey’s fifth round were made on December 24, 2011, and the remaining 16 teams in the tournament were pitted against one another.
Interestingly, fierce rivals and Spanish juggernauts, Barcelona and Real Madrid, were drawn in the same part of the table, paving way for another El Clasico encounter.
Real Madrid are to face Malaga while Barcelona will lock horns with Osasuna. The two Spanish Giants will come face to face with each other if they win their respective matches in the round of 16.
Both Madrid and Barca are going to play the first leg of the knockout stages in their home stadiums. If the two teams come across each other in the quarter-finals, the first leg will be played at the Nou Camp.
